Legal implications

Drones are now more in demand than ever. Drones, also known as unmanned air vehicles, are small unmanned aircraft which respond to remote commands and follow a pre-programmed path. Though they were originally developed for the military, hobbyists now have the opportunity to fly their own drones and explore new places. New Jersey law prohibits you from flying a drone without permission.

Sightings

Sightings of drones in New Jersey on Tuesday temporarily halted arrivals at the Newark Liberty International Airport. According to reports, drones were spotted flying in a three-to-five-kilometer altitude over Teterboro Airport, 20 miles north of Newark. Although no more sightings have been reported, the airport continues to cooperate with federal law enforcement. After a brief delay, the airport has resumed operations and is currently under federal investigation.

Locations

New Jersey offers many amazing locations for aerial photography. Lincoln Park, Hudson County’s largest park, is a great place to take amazing aerial photos. You will be amazed at the stunning views it offers of Lower Manhattan. You can also fly your drone above beautiful branches of cherry trees or bridges at Branch Brook Park. Aerial photography is generally easier at lower altitudes.
