How To

Repairing A Drone's Damaged Motor

First, identify the broken part of the motor to repair it. The best way to do so is to take the propeller off the motor shaft. Then remove any wires and take a look at the motor's inner workings. If you spot something wrong, you can identify which part of the motor needs to be fixed.

If the motor has not been damaged, it is safe to fly again.

Suppose a motor has been bent up so it won't turn anymore. You will need to bend it back into shape. You could use a vice grip or a pair of pliers to hold the motor while bending it back into shape. After you're done, check your motor for signs of wear.

Once you are satisfied with everything, mount the propeller on the motor shaft. Reattach the wires. Your drone is now ready for flight!
